Adele is such an incredible<a href="http://bkogklsdf.com"> natrual</a> talent...she just had surgery on her throat and I really hope she recovers. Have you heard the latest on the radio? Someone Like You...she writes her own songs and for someone as young as she is, her lyrics have such depth and vulnerability. Just amazing.

Dear Kristin, I have a question based on the very savvy and exclelent advice you gave in a recent Writers Digest. (Also, I love Jamie Ford's book)...Do you have tips on how writers can choose between different agents; determine if or when to switch agencies; and broach issues/ concerns with an existing agent in a productive way?14 agents wanted to rep me (proboably because I queried close to a hundred - it's all percentages). Of these, I narrowed it down to 5. Of the five, I had a terrible time choosing, they all sincerely seemed great and were repping at least one major author whom I really admired. In the end I chose at first based on "who seemed the most literary minded"; then realized she was working way too slowly (very very slow to get back, etc) to make me comfortable given that I was about to give birth and wanted to resolve certain things before then. So then I chose a very 'can do' agent -- but her editorial vision is simply not as sophisticated. She has an exclelent commercial sense, but is somewhat at a loss re: literary critiques. So we got less money for the novel as we submited than we would have in its current form I think...but she's overall a great agent. I just don't know if we're the best match. The Dorchester (True Renditions) saga does not seem to end. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd appreciate some <a href="http://qzbpgms.com">objicteve</a> opinions why a Dorch employee is now (April 3) semi-publically calling me out for simply stating I have not gotten paid (from 2010)--and for sharing that info.(and other polite tidbits) with other writers. Mind you, I am a former podunk mag writer. I had to throw up the blog ASAP and unedited (for protection against Dorch) so be prepared for a cruddy-looking post. Tiffany,I had to comment even thgouh I see this post is so old. That is why I am commenting. I am new to Adele (about five months) and am surprised I hadn't heard of her sooner. I think I heard some of her songs earlier, but never pursued the artist. I am totally in love w/her voice and have been enjoying her music. I guess I need to check out some of her earlier albums because I'm sure they are great. Artists like her rarely get good like that over night.
